Glycolic Acid

INCI Glycolic Acid

Active Exfoliating Acid

What it is & what it does

Alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that exfoliates the skin surface and helps improve texture, dullness and uneven tone.
Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) with a relatively small molecular size, allowing effective surface exfoliation. It helps loosen the bonds between dull surface cells, improving the look of texture, radiance and uneven tone over time. Because it can be more irritating than gentler AHAs for some users, frequency and concentration matter.

Usage & cautions

Can increase irritation and sun sensitivity. Introduce gradually and use daily sunscreen. Avoid stacking with multiple strong exfoliants in the same routine if skin is sensitive.
