What it is & what it does
Rice Bran Oil is an emollient oil containing oleic/linoleic fatty acids plus antioxidant compounds such as gamma-oryzanol and tocopherols.
WHAT IT IS: Rice Bran Oil is an emollient derived from rice bran, containing a mixture of fatty acids and minor compounds such as tocopherols or oryzanol depending on processing.
WHAT IT DOES / EVIDENCE: As an oil it improves softness and the lipid phase of skincare formulas. Antioxidant compounds may support oil stability or conditioning, but their presence does not prove clinical treatment of pigmentation or wrinkles in a specific cream.
IN THE FINISHED FORMULA: It differs from rice bran extract, starch and generic rice-derived ingredients. The actual function depends on raw-material identity and product design.
