Tryptophan

INCI Tryptophan

Skin-Identical Amino Acid / Conditioning Active Ingredients

What it is & what it does

Tryptophan is an essential amino acid that can be used as a skin-conditioning component in amino-acid blends.
Its direct topical cosmetic evidence is much less developed than arginine, serine or histidine, so the most accurate claim is support for the skin’s amino-acid conditioning system rather than a strong stand-alone anti-aging effect.
